CONNECT well represented at the annual Earth System Governance conference 2014
August 15, 2014 in Conferences by Oscar Widerberg
Just before the summer break, the annual Earth System Governance (ESG) conference took place in Norwich, England. It was hosted by the University of East Anglia and attracted a great number of social science scholars from all over the world to discuss new research and developments in the Earth System Governance community. The conference is a central meeting point and event for the fellows and other affiliates within the Earth System Governance Project and this years theme was Access and Allocation in the Anthropocene.
CONNECT was well represented with both core staff and collaborating scholars presenting and acting as discussants in the different tenders. For instance, Marija Isailovic presented a paper on Legitimacy in fragmented global environmental governance: Experience from the global South in a panel entirely dedicated to the legitimacy, accountability and the fragmentation of environmental governance. Oscar Widerberg presented a paper on Climate clubs and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC): Complement, bypass or conflict? in a panel that discussed the state of global climate governance.
